Abstract

The subject of this article is a hoard of Roman coins discovered by chance in 1924 on the territory of the village of Saraya, Pazardzhik region. It consists of 33 coins - 32 silver and one bronze, ranging from the reign of emperor Septimius Severus (193-211) to Trajan Decius (249-251). The burial of the coin hoard is related to the Gothic invasion in the mid-3rd century.
