In 2021, at the Danube Bridge II customs office, movable cultural property in an attempt to be transported illegally across the border was seized, and according to the legislation, historical-archaeological expertise was to be assigned to it. It concerns some archaeological objects, as well as a significant amount (3,606 pieces) of silver and bronze coins, with a wide chronological scope – from the 6th century BC to the 17th century AD. The objects and the coins are stored in the Regional History Museum – Vidin. Only silver coins from the pre-Roman and Roman periods are presented in this article. The silver coins of this expertise are presented in chronological order, but first two coin hoards are presented, then the single specimens, and after the relevant comments, finally a catalogue follows.
